Junfeng Zhang

Junfeng received his B.Sc. in applied chemistry at Jilin University in 2008. He joined Dr. Lowry's group as a PhD student in 2010, focusing on chemical, enzymatic and chemo-enzymatic synthesis of complex oligosaccharides as probes of glycan functions. After obtaining PhD in Feb 2016, he works as a postdoc in  Dr. Lowry's group. He is currently working on chemo-enzymatic synthesis of group B streptococcus type III (GBSIII) glycoconjugates for understanding the mechanism of glycoconjugate vaccine activation of the immune system.
