March 1 Welcome to Jöern Saupe, a new postdoctoral fellow in the group from the Jörg Rademann's group at the Free University Berlin and Huu-Anh Tran, a new research associate from Dave Bundle's group at the University of Alberta. February 27 The group's collaborative research with the groups of David Bundle, Glen Armstrong, John Klassen and Kenneth Ng, is recognized with the Brockhouse Canada Prize for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Engineering from NSERC. February 9 The group receives a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to identify new biomarkers for tuberculosis. The grant is being matched 1:1 by CIHR. January 27 A paper entitled “A specific antibody based assay shows potential for detecting tuberculosis in resource constrained laboratory settings” has been accepted in PLOSOne.
