Anushka obtained his BSc. with a major in Biological Sciences and minor in Chemistry from the University of Alberta in 2009. The following summer, he joined the Lowary group as an undergraduate student begining a project on the synthesis of 5,6-dideoxy galactofuranoside. In September of 2009 he joined the Lowary group as a graduate student. His current research involves the elucidation of C. jejuni serotype 11168 capsular polysaccharide biosynthesis.
