Roy
Arav received his B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biology (Double Major) in 2013
from
Tel Aviv University, Israel. He completed his M.Sc. degree in Green
Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology in 2015 under the
supervision of Professor Michael North in the Green Chemistry Centre of
Excellence at the University of York, UK. His research project focused
on peptide synthesis using cyclic carbonates as sustainable solvents.
In 2016, Roy joined Dr. Todd Lowary's group as a Ph.D. student.
His current research focuses on the synthesis of a highly immunogenic branched oligosaccharide epitope from glycoprotein gp72 of Trypanosoma Cruzi.
