Price: $400 (early bird)
We welcome all young investigators (undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers) to attend! 

 

Price Breakdown:

Early bird: $400 (before or on Jan 10, 2022)

Regular: $450 (after Jan 10, 2022) 

Registration and abstract submission will close Feb 12, 2022

Registration includes:

– Lodging at the Banff Park Lodge for 3 nights (shared, 2 people/room)

– Complimentary breakfast buffet, coffee

– Conference activities

– Welcome package

– April 2, 2022 dinner

If you plan to attend with your family or a significant other and require single occupancy lodging, please add an additional $300 to the registration cost.


Payment:

Prefer Interac E-transfer to bsoc@ualberta.ca. When sending payment, please specify in the memo section which attendee this payment is for. Details regarding oral/poster presentation will be sent when we receive your completed registration form.

Abstract Format:

Please use the following WORD file as a template for your abstract. The abstract must fit within a single page, and must be typed in Arial font (11 point) only. New paragraphs should not be indented and one blank line must be left between paragraphs. The text should be aligned to the left-hand margin. Figures, drawings and tables may be inserted (within the margins, 300 dpi resolution or higher, .jpg or .tif format). 

 

Name your file as first_name_last_name_abstract_BSOC2022.docx and submit it as a WORD (.doc or .docx) file. Please see the attached abstract for reference. Abstracts that do not follow these guidelines will be returned for revision.

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

 

Please prepare a 12 minute oral presentation of your research in standard powerpoint format compatible with PC software. This will then be followed by a 3 minute question period by attendees.
As the timing of the conference is quite tight and in order to accommodate all scheduled presentations, please note that presentations longer than 12 minutes will be asked to stop. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
Poster Presentation Guidelines:
Please prepare a poster within dimensions 45″ X 45″.
