Chem 263 - Intro Organic Chemistry

Welcome to the Chemistry 263 web site! The goal of this course is to help you understand the structure, nomenclature, physical properties and reactions of common classes of organic compounds. You will also learn about the natural occurrences, uses and applications of various organic compounds.

This site is designed to help you succeed in Chem 263. The material in this web site is meant to supplement what is discussed in class.

    • Drop in at my office, Chemistry W5-39A, Tues or Thurs from 2:00 to 3:00 PM
    • or make an appointment for an alternative time
    • Please do not e-mail questions on course content - instead see me in person

  • Help is Available!
    • Help sessions will continue in E1-34 throughout the entire semester and final exam period
    • Help sessions will be held everyday
    • Times will be posted on the door of E1-34, as well as on the Organic Labs Website

    • Location: Chemistry Centre E1-60

    Final Exam:
    • Date: Tuesday, December 13, 2016
    • Time: 2 pm to 5 PM (3 Hrs)
    • Location: Main Gym Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
    • SSDS (Special Services) students must submit form by Dec 2 and pick up exam on December 13 at SSDS or location to announced (TBA)
