Welcome to the Chemistry 164/261/264 web site! The goal of this course is to help you understand the structure, nomenclature, physical properties and reactions of common classes of organic compounds. You will also learn about the natural occurrences, uses and applications of various organic compounds.

This site is designed to help you succeed in Chem 164/261. The material in this web site is meant to provide a basis for the class.

  • Midterm Exam One - 150 points
    • Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - 12:30 to 1:50 PM (80 minutes) on eClass
    • Models OK - No books, notes or extraneous electronic devices - multiple choice - graded electronically
    • Location By eClass electronic access (e.g from home) just before 12:30 PM
    • Accessibilty Resources students must submit form
  • Midterm Exam Two - 250 points
    • Date: Thursday, October 28, 2021 - 12:30 to 1:50 PM (80 minutes) in person in class
    • Models OK - No books, notes or extraneous electronic devices - similar to exams posted on this website
    • Location Chemistry Centre E1-60
    • Accessibilty Resources students must submit form
  • Final Exam (no supplemental exam) = 350 points
    • Date: December 21, 2021 - 9 AM - 12 noon
    • Bring Models - no books, notes or electronic devices
    • Bring ID
    • Location: Pavilion Rows 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
