Welcome to the University of Alberta, Undergraduate Organic Chemistry Laboratory Website!
On this website, you will find an array of useful information to help you make the most of your time in the laboratory classes. The laboratory experiments are designed to help you develop the necessary basic organic chemistry laboratory skills as well as provide an introduction to useful organic spectroscopic techniques. The information and videos on this website, in conjunction with laboratory lectures and help sessions, are intended to assist you in the learning of experimental organic chemistry. |

Important Information Lab manuals and safety glasses can be purchased from the Organic Chemistry Store Room (W1-32). Lab coats can be purchased from the Chemistry Students Association (W2-46) or the University Bookstore.

Warning: Pre-Labs are REQUIRED for most labs. If you do not complete the required pre-lab prior to the lab class, you will not be allowed to carry out the experiment and you will receive a score of ZERO for the lab!
Final Lab Grades will be posted on e-Class by the end of the semester.
