Ph.D. degree in Physics, IIT Delhi, 2009.
M.Sc.D. degree in Physics, IIT Delhi, 2004.
B.Sc. degree in Physics at Ramjas College, University of Delhi, 2002.

Rajesh Kumar's expertise is in the field of Raman and Photoluminescence spectroscopies.

His research work involves the evaluation of molecular electronics junctions consisting of organic monolayers on carbon, silicon and metal substrates. In addition to junction fabrication, he is also involved in a variety of electronic and spectroscopic diagnostics of junction structure and performance, with the long-term goal of understanding electron transfer in organic nanostructure junctions. He is actively involved in realization of conducting polymer based memory devices. He also works to use semiconductor (mainly Silicon) as one of the components in a molecular tunnel device.

Apart from his interest in Science and Technology. He writes articles in blogs and magazines for science popularization.
