Roger Ashmus

Roger

Roger received his B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 2007.  He stayed at UTEP and received his M.Sc. in Chemistry in 2010 with Dr. Katja Michael on the synthesis and conjugation of terminal α-Gal containing saccharides for immunization studies against Chagas disease.  In that same year, he joined Dr. Lowary’s group as a PhD student.  His research will focus on studies toward understanding the biosynthesis of the methyl phosphoramidate moiety present in Campylobacter capsular polysaccharides.
