Md. Faiaz Ahmed obtained his B.Sc. degree in 2005 from the Shah Jalal University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh and M.Phil degree in 2009 from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. He conducted his M.Phil research on synthesis of uracil derivatives under the supervision of Dr. Wahab Khan. In 2009, he joined Dr. Todd Lowary's group as a Ph.D. student, where his current research focuses on the Glycoside synthesis via 2, 3-cyclopropyl and aziridino furanose derivatives.
