Dr. Maju Joe

Maju Joe received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India and joined Dr. Lowary’s group at the University of Alberta. He is currently involved in projects directed towards the development of new anti-microbial agents, in particular anti-tuberculosis agents and vaccines. A major part of his research work is focused towards gaining insight into mycobacterial cell wall biosynthesis. His research interests include: discovery and development of new synthetic strategies, methodologies, their application to synthesis of bioactive natural products and new chemical entities having pharmacological importance. He is also interested in Process research, development and Custom manufacturing.
