Yu-Hsuan (Jeff) Liu

Jeff obtained his B.Sc. with Specialization in Chemistry in 2012 at the University of Alberta, Canada. He joined Dr. Lowary's group in 2011 as an undergraduate student and had worked on synthesizing rhamnose and fucose monosaccharide building blocks. In the summer of 2012, Jeff joined the group as a laboratory technician and is currently working on a large scale synthesis of an azide derivatized phenolic lipid in which he will use to synthesize Mycobacterium tuberculosis cell wall glycan biomarkers.
