Research

I came to Canada in January 1995 joining the University of Alberta as a teaching assistant in the chemistry department. I joined the Loppnow group in May of the same year. I started research on solvent effects on the normal vibrational modes of dimethylaminobenzonitrile (DMABN) and ethyl 4-dimethylaminobenzoate (DMABEE) under the supervision of Dr. G. Loppnow. Main interest is twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) in these molecules.
